"There's no end to the news..."
By Frank Eiklor
Our dear friends,
LOVE IN WORKING CLOTHES
You know about the historic Houston, Texas flood. We recently made a difference. While offering prayer, God’s love and hope to victims, I helped clean up a devastated cemetery where some of God’s choicest saints are buried. That simple act made our witness “more than talk” to people struggling to rebuild their lives.
ANOTHER TRAGEDY CLOSE TO HOME
Norma and I reside in the Austin, Texas area. That’s only 3 or 4 hours from where 26 precious people were murdered in Sutherland Springs. No Christian church in the USA feels safe anymore. I have warned for years that believers in Jesus will face persecution in our country like our brothers and sisters do all over the world. It’s here. Whether people with hate against God and others—or terrorism—or unjust laws that discriminate against Christians—it’s here! We plan to take the love of God to this grieving town when others leave and they are left alone.
A JEWEL NAMED JULIA
We have reached thousands of lives in many journeys to Argentina. Julia is special. Left a widow (in her 20’s) with three sons, Julia took the Lord as her husband, raised her boys (who are now in ministry) and launched a work to the deaf. Now in her 60’s, this widow is known far and wide as God’s special servant. She lived in a shack when we met her many years ago but we helped build her a small house where her light for Jesus never goes out. We continue to help her monthly.
GIVE UP JESUS, OR WE LEAVE YOU!
But Connie couldn’t. Once she knew that Yeshua was truly alive and her Messiah, this precious Israeli could not live a lie before her husband and children. They left her many years ago, but her prayers follow them and God will answer in His time. Connie is a gentle but powerful witness for the Messiah and we are blessed to help her each month.
There’s no end to the news. But there is to the page. I close wishing you a blessed Christmas and a hope that you will pray for and support the Shalom outreach.
We need you and appreciate you!
